However, because FRB has a complete record of these borrowers' assets and reserves, Fitch considered the assets for these loans to be fully verified in its analysis. This adjustment impacted 150 loans (51.5% of the pool) and resulted in a decrease in the pool's 'AAAsf' expected loss by roughly 50bps. Seasoned Property Value Exception: Under Fitch's 'U.S. RMBS Master Criteria' dated July 1, 2014, the agency expects property valuations to be no more than 12 months old at the time of securitization. However, the transaction includes 22 loans for which the valuations are between 13 - 16 months old and 13 loans with valuations aged 16 - 18 months. Fitch did not deem adjustments to these loans' original property values necessary because all of them are secured by properties in areas that have experienced home prices increases over the past 18 months. Given the strong loan attributes and borrower profiles, in Fitch's view it is unlikely that these properties experienced price depreciation or deterioration in their condition. Small Loan Count: While total loan count in this pool is 291, the weighted average number of loans (WAN) is 218. Transactions with a small number of loans carry the risk that portfolio performance may be adversely impacted by a few assets that underperform relative to the statistically derived assumptions underlying their ratings.

Fifth Third to pay $1.5 mln in mortgage loan bias case - Yahoo Finance
Done Fifth Third to pay $1.5 mln in mortgage loan bias case 3 hours ago Done (Adds Fifth Third statement, paragraph 6) WASHINGTON, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Fifth Third Bancorp Inc's mortgage unit will pay $1.52 million to settle U.S. government charges that it discriminated against some loan applicants by demanding letters from doctors to document income from Social Security disability insurance. The U.S. Department of Justice on Thursday said the accord resolves allegations that the unit violated the federal Fair Housing Act and Equal Credit Opportunity Act by discriminating on the basis of disability and receipt of public assistance. Cincinnati-based Fifth Third will pay the money into a fund to compensate eligible victims. It will also improve training of loan officers and underwriters, and monitor loan applications to ensure that disabled applicants are not asked for letters from their doctors. The accord "protects those with disabilities from having this unnecessary, inappropriate and illegal intrusion into the most private of their affairs," U.S. Attorney Michael Moore in Macon, Georgia, said in a statement. Settlement papers were filed with the U.S. District Court in Macon, and Fifth Third cooperated fully with the probe, the Justice Department said.

Lampard, 36, left Chelsea in June after 13 years at the club but will be back in the Premier League for six months before joining up with City's affiliate club New York for their inaugural season. "Joining up with Manchester City is a fantastic opportunity for me to continue to train and play at the top level and make sure I am in top condition for New York City," Lampard, who trained with City for the first time on Wednesday, said. "It has been an amazing few days for me since the unveiling in Brooklyn and everyone connected with both clubs has been fantastic to me. This is a new chapter of my career and I'm really excited about the experience. "I met (City manager) Manuel Pellegrini and some of the players in New York and I'm looking forward to getting into training and making a contribution for Manchester City ahead of my move over to New York." The move was welcomed by New York City FC sporting director Claudio Reyna. "This is the perfect opportunity for Frank. He is in great shape following the World Cup, and training and playing with our colleagues in Manchester will enable Frank to be fit and ready for our inaugural training camp," he said. Lampard, who scored a record 211 goals in all competitions for Chelsea, will be available for City's opening game of the season against Newcastle United and could feature against FA Cup winners Arsenal in next week's season-opening Community Shield. Soccer-Donovan was America's first soccer star - Yahoo Sports
The top soccer leagues in the world are found in Europe and Donovan's apparent lack of desire to prove himself in the week-to-week battles of the very best in the world leaves a question mark over his legacy. In 1999, Donovan signed a six-year contract with German club Bayer Leverkusen but he spent most of his time loaned back to San Jose and he made just seven appearances in the Bundesliga before signing with the Galaxy. The forward tried again in 2008, joining Bayern Munich on an initial loan deal but with Donovan talking about possibly staying on longer term. After a disappointing stint, Bayern decided against keeping him. FAN FAVORITE It was a different story during two loan spells with English Premier League club Everton , where Donovan quickly became a favorite with the Goodison Park fans and earned positive reviews for his displays which showed a work-rate and willingness to defend as well as attack that was not always evident in his game. But Donovan's choice of a long-term contract with the Galaxy made it tough for Everton or another club to buy him and while he clearly enjoyed his time in England , he did not appear distraught at returning to California and playing in MLS. The absence of a consistent presence in a top league will inevitably factor in to any evaluation of Donovan as the 'greatest' American soccer player since others, such as Clint Dempsey , Tim Howard and Claudio Reyna, are able to point to successful seasons in Europe. For the national team he will be best remembered for his excellent performances in the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan where he won 'Best Young Player' as the United States reached the quarter-finals, their best finish in the modern era. Eight years later, his last-second winner in a 1-0 victory over Algeria ensured Bob Bradley's team reached the second round and produced one of the most memorable moments in U.S. soccer's growth as the celebrations across the country were captured in a video which went viral online.

Fitch Affirms Minnesota Office of Higher Education 2008 Series A & B - Yahoo Finance
Today, it's 250 employers, including the likes of Best Buy, Starbucks, and even major banks like Wells Fargo and Bank of America. How It Works Employees can sign up for Active Hours on their own, providing their bank account number. They use the app to upload a photo of their electronic time sheets (paper time sheets aren't allowed). ActiveHours knows which systems are used by most employers, so it uses a photo of the system to verify the timesheet is real and checks the hours logged against past deposits made into the user's bank account. As we move into this on-demand economy, your payroll should be the same way. Micky Malka, Ribbit Capital ActiveHours also uses geolocation to ensure the user was at work when he took the photo. Once a user has been approved, he can see how much money he's already earned and transfer any percentage of it into his bank account. ActiveHours essentially gives the user a cash advance and deposits it into the user's account the next day. When payday rolls around, ActiveHours withdraws the same amount from the user's account. And at the end of it all, users can opt to pay ActiveHours a couple bucks -- or nothing at all. Unusual as that may sound, Palaniappan isn't the only one who believes in the concept.
